CHARACTER INFORMATION

Name:
Wave

Nicknames: N/A

Species: Swallow
(Speculation: If you choose to get technical, Wave is probably a Purple Martin, the largest sub-species of Swallow, for obvious reasons.)

Gender: Female

Age:18

Date of birth: Unknown

Birthplace: Unknown

Height: 110 cm

Weight: Secret
(Speculation: Slightly smaller than Sonic, female physique, and is a bird: Wave weighs probably a bit less or maybe more (because of her taller stature) than Jet. She runs anywhere from 20 to 25 kilograms [44 to 55 lbs.])

Physical techniques: N/A

Abilities and aptitude:
(1). *Since she is a bird and is accommodating to the flying character type, she most likely has the ability to fly. (This is a tentative statistic, but common sense would dictate that Wave can fly, especially since a Swallow is related to the Swift, the bird with the fastest flying speed. Refer to this same field on Jet's profile to learn further evidence that she can fly.)

Hobbies and talents:
(1). Highly adept Extreme Gear airboarder.
(2). Very talented mechanic. Although, her specialty is her world-renowned skills with Extreme Gear, in which she far surpasses Tails and Eggman.
(3). Also proficient in other types of Extreme Gear including hoverskates and airbikes.
(4). Skilled at thievery.

Weaknesses:

(1). Highly critical of others.
(2). Refuses to admit when she's been outclassed, sometimes to the point of denial.

Physical Appearance:
- Purple feathered body with flame-shaped highlights of a purple shade on her arms
- Smoother (than Jet and Storm's), golden yellow beak with two nostril pits
- Cobalt eyes
- 2 contoured spikes of feathers behind her head that contour and flare out towards the bottom almost to the ground, and are tipped in a darker shade of purple
- Tufted patch of down feathers on her chest that is either covered by an article of clothing, or acts as the form of an upper garment to cover her chest area
- Two essentially scissor-shaped feathers tipped in a darker shade of violet to serve as a tail

Attire:
- A pair of white gloves with red-accented, sock-like cuffs fastened with tan hoops
- A pair of red boots with white accents, zipper application, and durable gray heel soles
- A pair of rather extravagant sunglasses with exaggerated lenses of gold color
- A pair of white flare trousers with violet flame accents on the bottom of each pant leg
- **A possible upper chest garment that seems to match the profile of a white tube top (this may not be attire=, but instead a part of her body)
-
Wears a necklace complimented by a large, spherical red gem that actually seems to be a utility device ranging from being able to load data to being a personal alarm clock
- Dons a white bandana that is fastened in a Doo Rag style
- Seems to apply pink eyeshadow cosmetic

Items & weapons: Too many to list: Wave seems to carry just about all of her little gadgets with her.

Vehicle(s):
(1). A purple and yellow Type W flight-based Extreme Gear airboard for high altitude airboarding, constructed by none other than herself

Personality details: Wave the Swallow is the tech girl behind the Babylon Rogues, and it only takes a 10 second conversation with her about Extreme Gear to acknowledge this. She is very confident in her skills with constructing any type of Extreme Gear, and is often quick and never hesitant to make a mockery of anyone else's Extreme Gear, or "pieces of junk," as she'd call them. This is even if deep down, she knows that the other person's board is actually pretty well-engineered. Out of the three, Wave is actually the most outgoing and undoubtedly the most rude out of the motley avian crew. She'll hold in any compliments and disguise them as insults just to secure her… well, to be blunt… bitch factor and hopefully never add suspicion to the possibility of a generous heart. This is especially if you criticize her Extreme Gear skills in any possible way, even illegitimately.

For the most part, she knows of the responsibilities needed to be a Babylon Rogue and (despite her respect for him) probably wants Jet's position considering her constant lectures to the poor ole' Hawk since he is always just a'loafin around. After time, Jet seems to have tuned the whiny songbird out. Wave's snide, impatient, moderately greedy, and judgmental demeanor is typical for her lifestyle, but in the end, just like the other Babylon Rogues, she simply thinks life is just a big ole' rollercoaster ride and you gotta assert yourself and have as much fun as you can — forget the rules! Of course, fun is ultimately dismissed whilst she is engaged in yet another pointless argument with her cohort, Storm the Albatross.

Historical biography:

As with the leader of the Babylon Rogues, Jet the Hawk, Wave the Swallow is part of the current generation of the ancient Babylonian race known as the Babylon Rogues. She is the mechanic behind the crew and is responsible for all of their thievery gadgetry, so to speak. Also like Jet, her past is pretty blurry as well. She was raised and given her skills by her father, the mechanic for the previous generation of Babylon Rogues and her confidence in that field has turned her into the egotistical, easily-agitated bully she is today. (Ask Tails, he'd know.)

Wave the Swallow joined her comrades in the "EX World Grand Prix" started by Dr. Eggman to prove who's the fastest with Extreme Gear (and to revive the lost Babylon Garden and find the treasure that's there), but unlike Jet and Storm, her two-timin' self resorted to cheating. Refer to Jet's profile for the complete story, but let's just put it this way: it was Wave who built and implanted that explosive remote-controlled device on Sonic's board. And during the last race at the Desert Ruin course, taking refuge behind a rock, Wave pushed the button right when she noticed Sonic was about to win, securing Jet's victory. Judging by Jet's state of shock when he realized Sonic was about to win, he most likely didn't even know Wave had done this.

Jet's profile will tell you the rest of the story: the Babylon Garden was resurrected, they managed to find the treasure that came in the form of a meager magic carpet, and Wave and Tails made the observation that it could possibly be a prototype to what is today's hi-tech Extreme Gear airboards. Since then, she and the Babylon Rogues have once again returned to their life of crime.

Personal information:

Greatest friend(s): Jet the Hawk and Storm the Albatross.

Other friend(s): Unknown.

Rival(s): Miles "Tails" Prower.

Enemy(s): Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik

Likes: Money or riches of any kind, airboarding, tuning up Extreme Gear or putting down others' pathetic attempts at doing the same, and building many kinds of machines in general.

Dislikes: Any kind of competition in the Extreme Gear engineering department, and the very unlikely possibility that her rival could be better than her at it (or even having a rival, for that matter). But for the most part, Wave only gets peeved at individual persons rather than things: such as Jet's laziness in his position as leader of the Babylon Rogues, and of course Storm's persistence in just plain, all-out pissing her off.

Favorite food(s): Unknown.

Favorite color(s): Unknown, possibly white.

Occupation: N/A — Wave is a thief; she gets what she wants by stealing.

Place of residence: Wave seems to congregate primarily in a
very large Babylon Rogues' skyship piloted by Jet.

Personal character analysis/commentary (by Nuclear Envoy):

Along with the Babylon Rogues package that came with Sonic Riders, Wave was yet another mechanically-inclined addition to the Sonic cast. Some would say she is a plothole since she has overridden the carved-in-stone piece of canon information that Tails and Eggman are the "ubers" in the mecha-maniac department. However, that was before Riders was released and that the mistake was corrected by how Wave is only better at them in the field of Extreme Gear, which by all means is sensible since, well… other than in the Sonic Riders series, Extreme Gear isn't all that important, now is it?

However, what's going for Wave is that she added some more diversity to the female cast with a rarely seen type of species and yet another personality that contrasts to the rest of the gals. Did you ever notice that the only two female characters that are comparatively similar are Amy and Cream? And even then, those two are pretty different. If you put Amy, Cream, Rouge, Blaze, and Wave in one room, you'd notice the differences off the bat much less how they distinguished from a personality point of view.

Wave has pretty much set the standard for the bitch of the chicks in the character cast. Rouge isn't even as bad, plus if she is a bitch, she uses it to her advantage. And it's okay to be a bitch for Rouge, since she's the hot and sexy one. Wave's obviously the tomboy of the female cast, and it's awesome how she is so easy to single out since pretty much all of the girls can easily fit into a single type of social class.

Although, she possesses a conduct I really don't find interesting, she is a pretty decent character. Like Jet, she is by no means unoriginal, but also, like Jet, she was made entirely for the Riders series. Don't expect to see her in much else. But hey, like it really matters, right? Since evidently, the Riders series is sure to continue.
